Our History

 The Birth of an Estate
Grandfather René Hatté cultivated vines along with other crops in the region during the mid-20th century. In the 1960s, René became the president of the Fleury-La-Rivière winemaking cooperative, where he had been a founding member. He initiated the marketing of wines under the brand "Champagne René Hatté."

A Feminine Touch
The brand name evolved when René's daughter, Jocelyne Hatté, took over the estate with her husband, Georges Thomas. Together, they created the brand "Champagne Thomas Hatté" by merging their names. Jocelyne expanded the business, and her three children worked alongside her to help the enterprise flourish.

And Today?
Richard Thomas, one of Jocelyne's sons, took over the estate in 1983. He further developed it by planting a significant area of vines during the 1980s. Since 2018, his son Geoffrey Thomas has continued the family tradition, with his story still being written for future generations!
